Dear DUC and DSBC Members

We have been notified today (Saturday 25th) by the municipality that due to improved water conditions, the following beaches are now open again to bathing and water sport activities:

Addington
South Beach
uShaka Beach (which includes Vetchs – the club beach)
This decision was taken by the municipality due to the improved low levels of e-coli found in test samples taken from the central beaches.
Beaches that are currently still currently closed are:
North Beach
Bay of Plenty
Blue Lagoon
All beaches north of Umgeni river up to Salt Rock.
