Mid-Winter is less than a month away and Durban has yet to experience the strong early morning off shore winds that normally blow at this time of the year. It seems like summer has hung around a month or so longer than usual.

There have been reports of sardines at Mboyti but with the warm weather and lack of strong cold fronts, it remains to be seen if they will make it to KZN this year.

It seems like the water quality issues on the beaches are improving and the divers had had some good, clean water conditions offshore of Durban.

Bay Union Open Ocean Challenge Series

In July the DUC and PWC in conjunction with our loyal sponsors, will be hosting the 5th year of the Bay Union Open Ocean Challenge! This event has grown in strength over the years and we always endeavour to keep things interesting with our 12km courses and a softer option for the 6km course. We hope to have some new interesting offerings this year which we are working on and will keep you posted.

Club July Handicap Day 6th July

Table bookings are now open for the PWC Vodacom Durban July {VDJ2019} event to be held at the club on the day (see attachment). Picnic tables are already being booked up on a 1st come first pay, first served booking basis. Bookings will only be confirmed once payment has been received in full for your table.

PWC supports the Sharks

The Sharks are hosting the Hurricanes this Saturday 1st June at Kings Park at 15h15. As a PWC member, for R100 , you can get a seat ticket in a suite, a field parking ticket with every 4 seat tickets purchased as well as drinks at club prices available at the suite.

PWC has been an allocated parking area for 30 cars on the field by Collegians where you can have pre and after match braais. To secure your tickets, send a Whatsapp to Paul on 0836570965 with your name and the number of tickets required. There are a finite number of tickets available due to the seating limitations.
